The Commissioner for Information, Dr Law Mefor has said that Governor Chukwuma Soludo has recorded milestone achievements in his bid to ensure welfare of the people through provision of basic amenities.
Dr Mefor stated this at the Corporate Headquarters of Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Awka, while fielding questions from the Director of News And Current Affairs of the ABS, Mrs. Judy Jeff Nwabueze, the Vice Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Anambra State Council, comrade Ngozi Obileri and a senior reporter in the News and Current Affairs Department of the ABS, Amaka Onwuzulike.
According to Dr Mefor, the essence of governance is welfare of the people which he said Governor Soludo is pushing towards a logical conclusion as he develops all sectors of the state economy especially in road infrastructure.
Dr Mefor noted that awarding over four hundred kilometers of road, completing and commissioning over two hundred and fifty kilometers while more roads are to be awarded soon, without borrowing a kobo is a no mean feat to be achieved within a short time.
He explained that using strategic communication to expose Ndi Anambra to the Governor’s vision of achieving total transformation of the state in the language they would understand and also getting the feedback of the people across to the Governor is a mandate which he must achieve.
