Anambra state government has said that it is not relenting in making Anambra a one city state through road connectivity.
The Commissioner for Information, Dr Law Mefor stated this in his office at the Jerome Udorji state Secretariat Awka, while playing host to the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Anambra state council, Dr Odogwu Emeka Odogwu, and the Vice Chairman of the council, Comrade, Ngozi Obileri.
Addressing the guests who were equally received by top officials of the ministry, including the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Barrister Ndirika Onyekwelu, Dr Mefor pledged to work hand in hand with Journalists in the state to ensure all Governor Chukwuma Soludo is doing in terms of developing all sectors of the state economy is projected to the world.
According to Dr Mefor, the era of under reporting the government programs and achievements is over as he is in the present position to work with his colleagues who are journalists in Anambra to really give the state the publicity it requires.
He said that he runs an open-door policy and is available for every journalist to answer and clear their doubts on issue of interest to them.
The information commissioner announced that he will soon embark on project tour with journalists in the state for them to have first-hand information on the development structures already put in place by the Governor within a short period in office and with little resources.
He expressed optimism that the Odogwu led administration will do justice to factual reportage as he has been his friend for over a decade now, and can testify that he is a professional who stands by the truth.
