In a bid to ensure that vendors stick to contractual agreement and also deliver as at when due, the Anambra State Commissioner for Power and Water Resources, Engineer Julius Chukwuemeka has led the Ministry’s team to inspect the ongoing resuscitations of water schemes across Onitsha metropolitan city.

The Commissioner who visited GRA Onitsha water scheme, CLASH Program water scheme off MCC and Terminal Reservoir Water Scheme all in Onitsha, expressed satisfaction with the level and quality of work by the vendors.

He reaffirmed the commitment of Governor Chukwuma Soludo in keeping to his promise of making clean and portable water available to the people of the state.

Engineer Chukwuemeka however charged the vendors to maintain the contractual agreements in the remaining projects, while assuring them of tackling few bottlenecks they identified.

The site manager of Birsa Water Limited and that of Ovanman Pumps Limited in their separate interviews, assured the Commissioner of concluding the projects on or before the due dates after which residents of Onitsha, including people of Fegge, Oguta, Modebe, Nkisi, GRA, parts of 3-3, Port Harcourt Road, Army Barracks & environs among other areas within Onitsha, would begin to enjoy steady water supply.
