Local Govt Election: Anaocha APGA Chairman Drums Support For Candidates

Ahead of the September twenty-eight Local Government election in Anambra State, the Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in Anaocha Local Government Area Chief Anthony Ugorji has played host to all the candidates of the party in the election, as well as top party stakeholders in a bid to achieve a landslide victory in the election.

Addressing the gathering at his Nri country home, Chief Ugorji who said that APGA is the best political party in Nigeria, noted that Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s developmental strides in the state will help the party to cruise to victory in the election.

Chief Ugorji who described all the candidates of the party in Anaocha as competent and reliable, called on the people of Anaocha to join the party and Governor Soludo in moving Anambra forward, as according to him, the current administration in the State has exceeded the expectations of the people in terms of both human and infrastructural development.

The State Commissioner for Heath, Dr. Afam Obidike while urging the people to vote for APGA in the forthcoming election, reminded them of the sterling performance of Governor Soludo in the health sector, including the free antennal and delivery services, construction of five new General Hospitals, renovations of primary healthcare centres in every political ward in the state, employments of healthcare workers among numerous others.

Earlier, the APGA Chairmanship candidate for the election in Anaocha, Mr. Romanus Ibekwe on behalf of all the other APGA candidates appreciated the party for finding them worthy to serve, adding that if elected, they are going to turn around the economic fortunes of the local government in line with Governor Soludo’s vision of building a liveable, secure and prosperous homeland.

The Managing Director of the Anambra State Urban Water Assets Management Cooperation, Engineer Ikeobi Ejiofor among numerous others who spoke at the event charged party faithful to ensure that APGA cruises to victory in the September twenty-eight local government election.
