Adamwa State Commissioner for Health, Chief Felix Tangwami, says twelve persons have died following an outbreak of cholera that hit the state pointing out that of over fifty samples of suspected cases, thirty were positive.
Chief Tangwami disclosed that six of the deaths were recorded at a facility, six occurred at home while three hundred and eight people were admitted with two hundred and forty-four treated and discharged,
He charged the people to be cautious of their movements, interactions, personal hygiene, and the source of water they drink.
The commissioner assured that the government through its health workers is doing everything possible to contain the situation as done in the past with other similar outbreaks.
