Residents of Abel Arinze Close in Awka have lamented the continuous flooding of the area whenever it rains, attributing it to the poor channeling of a drainage system in an ongoing construction project in the area.
When ABS news crew got to the Close, residents of the street were seen in their numbers trying to salvage what is remaining of their damaged properties after Monday’s night’s heavy downpour.
Speaking with the ABS, Mrs. Ebelechukwu Onyeama Mr. and Mrs. Abel Arinze as well as Mr. Henry Akunna who were forced out of their houses called on the Anambra State Government to save them from the consequences of the poor channeling of the drainage system.
