Work is in progress on the ten-story building project proposed for Five Star Hotel, a project awarded by Anambra state government.
Works correspondent Ngozi Obileri who monitored pace of work on the road reports that work is at piling stage at the site.
When ABS arrived the site situated inside International Conference Center, Awka, mixing of concrete was ongoing while laterite was seen levelled on some parts of the site.
It was gathered that forty-one piles have already been put in place while four hundred and forty more piles are being expected to arrive the site for piling.
Speaking to the ABS, the contractor handling the project, Engineer Chuks Okoro said that they started work on the project two weeks ago, and are expecting to complete the piling work in the next two months to allow for construction of the main building to commence.
