The Alaigbo Achievers Legacy, also known as the great Igbo Achievers has inaugurated a twenty-four Elder-Statesmen National Advisory Council ahead of her legacy day celebration. The Patrons and Patronesses drawn from the South East Region of Nigeria, Delta And Rivers States include National President: Chief Simon Okeke, Former Chairman, Police Service Commission National life patron, UNIEC, Justice Anthony Iguh; Emeritus Justice of the Supreme Court, and former Chief Judge of the old and new Anambra States, National Deputy President and Life Patron, UNIEC: Professor Chinedu Nebo. Emeritus Vice Chancellor University of Nigeria Nssukka and former Federal Minister, National Vice President: Retired Major General, Collins Ihekire, the Director-General: Justice Alpha Ikpeama; Coordinating Bishop, Christian Association of Clergies In Nigeria, National life: Patron and Mentor, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, Forner Commonwealth Secretary-General, National Life: Patron and Mentor. Chief Ebitu Ukiwe, former Chief of General Staff, Nigerian Army and National Life Patron and Royal Father. Igwe Alfred Achebe, Obi of Onitsha, and Former Chairman, Southeast Council of Traditional Rulers.

Similarly, the Alaigbo Achievers Legacy, in collaboration with the United Igbo Elders Counci, Worldwide has constituted Committees from various parts of the Igbo society, to put processes in motion for the success of this year’s awards ceremonies. The committees include a twenty one -Man Planning Committee that would make all necessary arrangements, including logistics, for the success of the ceremonies headed by Justice Alpha Ikpeama.

There is also a seven-Man Candidates Selection Committee headed by the Alaigbo Achievers Legacy National President, Chief Okeke, with the Director-General Justice Ikpeama, as one of the six other members. The Committee would tour places, examine online and empirical records, to identify and assess candidates nominated for the awards, as well as make recommendations that could be considered final.

 

The Alaigbo Achievers Legacy, also known as THE GREAT IGBO ACHIEVERS, is an independent legal entity, a home- driven and delivery investment organization, recognised by the government of Nigeria for the recognition of individuals and corporate organizations towards excellence, in line with the ”Igbo Think-Home Investment and Development Philosophy of Aku Ruru Ulo, to promote good societal values and right ideals within the Igbo nation.

The Great Igbo Achievers was conceptualized mainly to adequately and constructively examine landmark achievements and signature legacy projects of state governors, members of the National Assembly and notable individuals of Igbo speaking states with proven integrity, hard work and dedication for recognition and honour. The Great Igbo Achievers is organized annually to celebrate and honour the landmark and uncommon achievements of captains of industry and accomplished entrepreneurs within Igbo nation.

 

The Alaigbo Achievers Legacy in collaboration with the United Igbo Elders Council Worldwide, is committed to showcasing the Igbo and like-minded Nigerians to the world, as contribution to nation-building.
