Anambra State Health Insurance Agency (ASHIA), has organized a one-day validation workshop with the Technical Working Group to review and finalize the Strategic Health Development Plan (SHDP).
Managing Director of the agency, Dr. Simeon Onyemaechi during the meeting stated that the aim of the exercise is to finalize the ASHIA Strategic Health Development Plan while ensuring alignment with both the State and National health priorities.
Dr. Onyemaechi reiterated that the plan will carefully outline how the agency can strategically expand its coverage to enroll more individuals into the scheme, as well as the practical steps needed to achieve the objectives.
He mentioned that the first draft of the Strategic Health Development Plan has been completed, making it imperative for the Technical Working Group to be involved in the process to analyze and provide suggestions, ensuring that the final draft is comprehensive and aligned with the agency’s goals.
Highlights of the exercise include group brainstorming sessions, along with the review and revision of the draft plan to ensure that it aligns with the project’s objectives and standards.
