The All Progressives Grand Alliance has won all the 21 chairmanship positions in Anambra State’s local government election held across the state last Saturday.

Announcing the results at Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission, ANSIEC headquarters in Awka, the Chairman of the commission and Chief Electoral Officer of the election, Magistrate Genevieve Osakwe, APGA won the election by scoring the highest number of votes cast in the election.

She also nnounced that the party also won 325 of the 326 councillorship positions in the state while results from one of the wards are being awaited.

Magistrate Osakwe further explained that the exercise was to re-affirm all the results earlier announced by their returining officers at various local government headquarters in the state .
