The Managing Director of Winco foam, Dr Godwin Okafor has called on the federal government to develop and implement policies that will continue to support Industrialization in addition to encouraging public private partnerships for enhanced development of the Nigerian Nation.

Dr Okafor who made the call at Awka in an interview with the ABS on the sixty-fourth independence Anniversary of the country also urged the National Assembly to make a law that will ban the importation of those products that is being produced in Nigeria and charged Nigerians to always take pride in patronizing made in Nigeria products to grow the economy.

The Industrialist who is a one-time Chairman of foam manufacturers association of Nigeria expressed satisfaction with the spate of Industrial development in Nigeria since 1960, and called on the federal government to find a lasting Solution to erratic power supply in the country, invest in infrastructure, in addition to collaborating with the private sector which he said is the highest employer of labour while urging the government to look into multiple taxation on manufacturers which he described as the greatest challenge to the industrial sector.

Dr Okafor called on Nigerians to always embark on those Programmes that will continue to promote peaceful Coexistence amongst the people.
