The Anambra State Executive Council, ANSEC, has approved the award of a contract for the reconstruction of the Oduigbo Market Onitsha as part of the Urban Renewal initiative of the Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration.
According to a press statement signed by the Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, the project will be done for four hundred and seventy-five million, seven hundred and seventy-six thousand, seven hundred- and fifty-six-naira, twenty kobo and will be delivered in three months.
The statement disclosed that the rehabilitation of Nnewi to Oba Road was also awarded through a direct procurement at the cost of One hundred and thirty-one million, three hundred and forty-three thousand, six hundred- and twelve-naira, twenty-eight kobo and will be executed by ARMA.
ANSEC also approved the rehabilitation of Nkpor to Obosi Road and would be directly carried out by the Anambra Road Maintenance Agency, at the sum of sixty-three million, one hundred and ninety-three thousand, six hundred- and thirty-three-naira, fourteen kobo.
It further explained that the rehabilitation of Nteje-Otuocha road, by ARMA is estimated to cost Fifty Million, Four Hundred and Forty thousand, eight hundred and forty-nine Naira, seventy-three kobo.
