Students in the South East Federal and State tertiary institutions are now to access the Nigeria Education Loan Fund.

The Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Community Engagement South East, Mrs Chioma Nweze made this known during a South East Citizens Assembly, at ASUU Secretariat, UNIZIK, Awka

Addressing students selected from all the tertiary institutions in the State, Mrs Nweze said that the Nigeria Education Loan Fund and other lofty programmes including agricultural and business loans for students and every Nigerian have kicked off saying that she discovered that students in South-East have not started enjoying the loan which was why she decided to hold the sensitization in all the South-East States.


Receiving the Senior Specialist Assistant, Governor Chukwuma Soludo represented by the Permanent Secretary, Office of the Secretary to Anambra State government, Dr Nwabufo Nwankwo appreciated President Bola Tinubu for all his lofty programmes aimed at alleviating poverty which he said is in line with the free education from nursery to senior secondary schools of Anambra State government.

The Head Information Technology, NELFUND, Mr Wale Ogunleye, tutored the students on the processes involved in the registration while the Acting Vice Chancellor of UNIZIK, Professor Carol Arinze-Umeobi represented by the Public Relations Officer of UNIZIK, Dr Emma Ojukwu thanked President Tinubu for the initiative.
