Sir Felix Godwin Ifebumma has been elected the President General of Urum Development Union.

He polled a total of 439 votes to beat his opponent, Mr Chinedu Nduka who polled 372 votes.

The election was conducted by the Anambra State Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs in collaboration with Urum Development Union.

Speaking after declaring Sir Felix winner in the election, the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Mr Tony-Collins Nwabunwanne encouraged people of Urum to see Sir Felix’s victory during the election as the victory for the entire community, and join hands with him to move the community forward.

The Mayor of Awka North Local Government Area, Dr ThankGod Anago and the immediate past President General of Urum, Comrade Aloysius Tabansi thanked Governor Soludo and Commissioner Nwabunwanne for ensuring that the Urum election was free and fair, urging the community members to embrace peace and collectively build the town.

In an interview, the Urum President General-Elect, Sir Felix while appreciating God for his victory, thanked Ndi Urum for believing in him, and assured to run an all-inclusive leadership and take Urum community to an enviable height.
