The need for all hands to be on deck in ensuring that the upcoming Anambra State Integrated Measles Vaccination Campaign implementation is successfully achieved has been stressed.

These were the opinions of participants during an Education Stakeholders Engagement meeting organized by the Anambra State Primary Health Care Development Agency in partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund, UNICEF and other partners.

Addressing the gathering, the Executive Secretary, Anambra State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Pharmacist Chisom Uchem represented by the Director of Disease Control and Prevention in the Agency, Dr. Nnamdi Uliagbafusi noted that in all their Immunization campaigns, schools play critical roles and urged them to help in educating their schools and parents to have a seamless exercise, even as the Anambra State Coordinator of the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Mr. Obioha Agbakwuru, said that the education stakeholders occupies critical positions in ensuring that the supplemental Immunization activities yield its desired result,

The Anambra State Health Educator, Mrs. Uju Onwuegbisi, pointed out that the meeting will help to sensitize the stakeholders about the 2024 supplemental Immunization activities, agree on the specific areas of the stakeholders’ support among others, while a Consultant with UNICEF, Mrs Uju Eze wants the participants to share ideas on the best way to deliver a successful Immunization campaign and implementation.
