Anambra State Primary Health Care Development Agency says its commitment to delivering Seamless Measles Vaccination is non-negotiable.
Its Executive Secretary, Pharmacist Chisom Uchem who disclosed this during a one-day non-Residential Stakeholders Engagement and Town Hall Meeting for the upcoming Integrated Measles Vaccination Campaign implementation in Awka explained that the meeting is to bring all the major agency stakeholders together to fashion out best ways to ensure a successful immunization in the state.


She said that the agency is hopeful that they will surpass their target of ninety five percent vaccination because they have carried out enough awareness.

A Consultant with the United Nations Children’s Fund the partner Agency in the exercise, Mrs. Uju Eze while giving an overview of measles revealed that over seventeen thousand measles cases are reported yearly in Nigeria with high percentage in the northern part of the country.
The Muslim Chairman of Gender Based Violence in Anambra State, Al-Imam Sheriff Olanrewaju said that the group is ready to participate actively in the exercise.
