The Deputy Minority Whip and Member representing Anaocha Constituency One in Anambra State House of Assembly, Honourable Nkechi Ogbuefi, in collaboration with her non-governmental organization, Nkechi Ogbuefi Charity Empowerment Initiative, has inaugurated distribution of free medicated eyes-glasses to ten thousand residents of her constituency.
Speaking during the ceremony held at Agulu Civil Centre, Honourable Ogbuefi noted that the distribution will take place across the four communities that formed the constituency Agulu, Adazi-Ani, Adazi-enu and Adazi-Nnukwu.
The lawmaker who explained that the beneficiaries will receive comprehensive eye care services, cataract surgery, free blood pressure tests among others, stressed that the beneficiaries were carefully selected from the four aforementioned communities.
Some stakeholders in the area, Dr. Nweze Agajelu and Mr. Ifechukwu Onyekaonwu commended the lawmaker for having the heart of giving and taking care of people’s health, especially, the most valuable ones, while one of the beneficiaries, Mr. Emmanuel Anyiba described Honourable Ogbuefi as a woman who has been doing wonderfully well for her constituents since she became a lawmaker.
