Late Chief Lawrence Onwuegbuchunam, has been laid to rest at Ezieke village Ojoto uno, Idemili South Local Government Area.

Aged eighty-five, Pa Onwuegbuchunam was the father of Mrs. Adaobi Adia of the Programmes Department of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS.


Delivering a homily at the funeral mass held in his honour, Reverend Father Jude Uchegbusi, encouraged Christians to rekindle faith in the resurrection power of Jesus Christ and explained that death is the end to mortality and gateway to new life.

Eulogizing the virtues of their late father, Mrs. Adia and her brother Mr. Lawrence Onwuegbuchunam junior acknowledged their father as a great man who stood for the truth at all times.


In his condolence message, the Head of Station ABS, Onitsha, Mrs. Ifeoma Udechukwu, who spoke on behalf of the management of the station, said that Adaobi is a seasoned broadcaster whose impact has contributed to the upliftment of the station.
