The State and local government executive members of National Union of Markets Employers of Nigeria, NUMTEN Anambra State Council will be inaugurated tomorrow.

Horizontal Palace Complex by Kwata fly over Awka, venue of the event is already wearing a new look for the epoch making ceremony which will commence by ten o’clock in the morning.

The event which will attract many dignitaries in trade and commerce will feature installation of patrons, recognitions and award presentations to distinguished individuals.

Chief Mike Emera, the Chairman and CEO Micmera International Agency LTD, is the Chairman of the occasion while Special Guests of Honor include Honourable Nkiru Onyejeocha, Minister of State for Labor and Employment and Sir Augustine Ikeudoji , member Representing Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency.

Professor Chukwuma Soludo, Executive Governor Anambra State will be the distinguished Guest of Honor.

Others to attend as guests of Honor include Barrister. Theodora Igwegbe, Head of Service Anambra State, Honourable Ossy Onuko, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, Prince Chinedu Okafor, Mayor Awka South Local Government Council, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, Commissioner of Police Anambra State and Mrs Oji Ogbuehi Comptroller Federal Ministry of Labor and Employment Anambra State.

The Chief Host is Comrade James Odoh, President National Union of Markets Traders Employers NUMTEN, while Host and co-host are Prince Nnamsom Nwafor Orizu, Chairman NUMTEN Anambra State Council and Comrade Humphrey Nwafor, Chairman Nigeria Labour Congress ,Anambra State.

The Royal Fathers expected to grace the occasion include, Igwe Ben Emeka, the traditional ruler of Umueri, Igwe Emmanuel Onyeneke, Traditional Ruler of Ekwulobia and Igwe Chidubem Iweka, traditional Ruler of Obosi.

The Guest Speakers include Mr Louis Madubuatta, Anambra State Coordinator, National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control NAFDAC, the State Coordinator Standard Organization of Nigeria SON, Engineer Emmanuel Oseni, , Anambra State,. State Commander National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Anambra State Command Mr Daniel Ogbonna.

National Union of Markets Employers Nigeria NUMTEN, is a union registered under the Trade Union Act Cap T fourteen and affiliated to the Nigerian Labor Congress NLC and the union is non political, non tribal, non religious, non cultural and non governmental and is poised to defend the integrity and independence of the market traders in the country, by promoting and advancing their welfare in all the markets.

NUMTEN also promotes and supports market and business reform, regularization and price control in all the markets, as well as create and maintain endorsement funds as grants and loans for all the market traders so as to boost their income, and providing traders conducive environment for the businesses.

This maiden Inauguration of National Union of Markets Traders Employers NUMTEN Executive is first of a kind in the State.
