Family, friends, and well-wishers today, gathered at Emmaus House, Awka, to bid farewell to Mrs. Chizoba Okoli, Nee Ezigboh, who passed away at the age of 52.

Fondly called Chizor, she was born in 1972 to Mr. and Mrs Peter Ezigboh in London, England, and passed on this year.

She was married to Mr Ikechukwu Okoli from Umudioka, Awka, Awka South Council Area, and their union is blessed with children and lifetime of shared memories.

The requiem mass was conducted in her memory by Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, Awka, while Apostle Okechukwu Nwogbo of Albert Zone of the church, in a homily, spoke on message of hope, faith, and the comfort that follows a life well-lived in service to others.

Reflecting on Mrs. Okoli’s virtues, Apostle Nwogbo described her as a woman of faith, a loving wife, and a mother whose love and kindness were felt by all, while urging everyone to live righteously and train their wards in the fear of the Lord.

The husband of the deceased, Mr. Okoli and her children, Tobechukwu, Onyekachi and Makuochukwu Okoli, expressed their profound loss, describing her as an epitome of love, peace, beauty, and virtue.

The event was graced with personalities, including the Member representing Awka North and South Constituency at the National Assembly, Professor Lilian Orogbu, a former Managing Director of Anambra Broadcasting Service, Dr. Uche Nworah, the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in Awka North and South in the 2023 general elections, Mr Obi Nwankwo, captains of industry, government functionaries and people from all walks of life.
