Anambra State House of Assembly has passed the State Herbal Practice Bill, 2024.

The bill seeks to regulate and sanitize herbal practices in the state, following the consideration of the report of Joint House Committees on Health and Judiciary.

After deliberation of the report at the committee of the whole, the Speaker of the House, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze read the bill for the third time while the lawmakers adopted it through a voice vote.

Speaking shortly in an interview, the Chairman House Committee on Health, Mr. Tony Muobike maintained that the bill is meant to bring together herbal practitioners under a very standard and regulated platform.
