The shrine and temple of justice, which collapsed some decades ago was due to negligence by the custodians of the tradition.
Iba Ogwugwumiri Shrine which has been in existence for decades lost its glory when it collapsed in 1998 and was neglected by the custodians, giving hoodlums the opportunity to take over and use it to scam people as well as perpetrate all sorts of illegalities.
Speaking during the event, the aka ji ofor Ogwgwumiri umuohi Okija Chief Monday Ewuzie said that the ceremony will go a long way to make people know that the Umuanunwa is the only custodian of Ogwugwumiri shrine Okija.
One of the master-minders of the project, chief Matthew Ngaobili maintained that the ceremony was to educate people that Ogwugumiri is a temple for justice where the intimidated cries out for justice and their request granted, and regretted that hoodlums took advantage of their negligence to intimidate and extort money from people.
Cutting of tapes, inspection of the deity and cultural display were highlights of the event.
