In furtherance of its quest for a sustainable environment, the Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade and Anambra State Road Traffic Management Agency have commenced a four-day relocation of all illegal motor parks, buses and tricycle operators who operate from the major road along MCC to Obosi Central Park.

Speaking to newsmen during the exercise, the Managing Director of OCHA Brigade, Comrade Celestine Anere revealed that all shanties and their dwellers, traders, squatters and unapproved parks presently along the road will be vacated as enforcement will continue daily until they move to the permanent parks.

Comrade Anere noted that the enforcement began with the demolition of shanties on the roadside by traders along the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway, walkways and under pedestrian bridges from MCC down to Upper Iweka axis, adding that the state government is determined to ensure that the right things are done at all times and made it clear that the relocation of drivers and parks is coming after several warnings and their refusal to use designated motor parks across the road, listing Obiano, Owerri Central and Omambala Parks located at Bridge Head, Onitsha as the approved parks.
