In a bid to improve public health and awareness, the Southeast region of the Nigeria Medical Students Association, NIMSA, in collaboration with the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Medical Students Association through the sponsorship of Dr. Charles Kene Ojukwu Foundation, has organized a community health outreach for Abatete residents.

The outreach held at Abatete Civic Centre, attracted over two hundred beneficiaries who received free health screenings and consultations.
In his remarks, the Managing Director of the foundation, Dr. Ojukwu, represented by the manager of the foundation, Mr. Sylvester Ojiugo, said the programme was born out of passion as a way of giving back to his community.

In his remarks, the President General of Abatete town union, Mr Ezedinobi Nwadike, thanked the benefactor for the succor, expressing the hope that such initiatives would continue, as they enable the community to take proactive steps towards better health, while one of the beneficiaries, Mr. Sunday Onyebuchi also expressed gratitude to the benefactor.
