The Chairman, Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Sir Ejike Okechukwu, has described the proposed 2025 budget of six hundred and seven billion naira as a progressive blueprint for the state’s development.

Speaking to journalists during a press briefing at the state legislative complex shortly after the budget presentation by Governor Chukwuma Soludo, Sir Ejike, who is representing Anaocha Constituency Two, commended the budget’s emphasis on capital projects; with seventy-seven percent allocated to capital expenditure and twenty-three percent to recurrent expenditure, while highlighting that the budget prioritizes infrastructure and development to advance the state’s progress.

He assured that certain adjustments made in the budget would be thoroughly reviewed during deliberations before the budget’s passage.

The Lawmaker commended Governor Soludo for sustaining the hope of Ndi Anambra and delivering the dividends of democracy, expressing confidence that the administration’s vision of transforming Anambra into an “African Dubai-Taiwan” will become more evident by the end of 2025.
