Anambra state Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo received Nigerians from far and near who came to bid farewell to the late Senator that represented Anambra South at the National Assembly, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah.

A burial mass was held in the late Senator’s honour at St Peter Claver Catholic Church Umuanuka Otolo Nnewi.

Governor Soludo described the late Ubah as a younger brother and friend who was full of life, saying that his death should be a constant reminder to everyone that life is ephemeral.

The Governor described the loss as huge, asked the people to offer the greatest tribute of living out the true essence of Ubah’s life and offered words of consolation to his wife, immediate family and the state.

In a homily, Peter Cardinal Okpalaeke who hinted that the mass is held to provide spiritual support for the dead, reminded the congregation that always, there are people around them in the society who need their help and support.

While asking the congregation to focus on the treasure that lasts forever, the prelate prayed God to console the family.

The members of the Ubah family, prominent Nigerians from within and outside the state including Senators and the clergy attended theĀ funeralĀ mass.
