The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo says his administration is passionate and committed towards empowering the youths of the state with world-class skills and opportunities to thrive.

Governor Soludo stated this at International Convention Center, Awka, while declaring open Anambra Innovation Week which kicked off today with the theme, “Creating The Future Of Africa Now”.

The Governor who was speaking through his deputy, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim disclosed that the state government under his leadership, has trained 25,000 youths in various skills, who are now self-reliant and employers of labour, and assured to train more in digital and other skills as part of efforts to meaningfully engage the youths.

Encouraging the youths at the Anambra Innovation Week event to participate actively in activities going on at the programme, Governor Soludo called on the instructors to give their bests to the participants for them to be able to proffer digital solution to challenges confronting this part of the world at the end of the event.

Earlier in an address, the convener of the event and Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovation and Business Incubation, Ms Chinwe Okoli said that the Anambra Innovation Week is designed to celebrate innovation in Anambra state, foster collaboration in Nigeria, and chart the digital future of Anambra state and Africa at large.
