The Federal Government of Nigeria says malaria is not just a health crisis, but an economic and developmental emergency that must be eliminated.
The Coordinating Minister for Health and Social Welfare, Professor Muhammad Pate, who gave the description at the inaugural meeting of the Advisory on Malaria Elimination in Nigeria in Abuja, stated that the Federal Government is resolute in its commitment to eliminating malaria.
