Three foreigners and a Malaysian woman have been remanded for seven days by Malaysian authorities over a human trafficking case involving the sexual exploitation of a Nigerian woman.

It was gathered that the remand order for the four suspects, aged between twenty-four and thirty-five, including two men and two women, was issued by Balik Pulau Court Senior Assistant Registrar, S. Janice Brenda.

The remand, which started yesterday, Sunday, and continues until seventh December, was granted to allow police to investigate the case under Section 12 of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Anti-Smuggling of Migrants Act 2007.
