‘Teachers House’ has won the 2024 Interhouse sports competition of lrene Menakaya Schools, Onitsha.
The team representing the house scored the highest point to lift the trophy, while ‘Lawyers House’ and ‘Engineers House’ came second and third respectively.
Chima Edeogu emerged as the overall best athlete, while Chisom Ebele was named the best female athlete.
In their remarks, the P.T.A Chairman of the school, Mrs Christy Chukwukelu, and a top Management staff of the school, Mrs Chidiogo Anene, described sports as vital for child’s development and appealed to parents and guardians to encourage their wards to participate actively in sporting activities.
Presentation of medals and prizes to the winning athletes formed the climax of the event.
