Anambra State Executive Council has approved the release of the sum of seventy point five billion naira for the construction of the flood-prone and erosion-threatened Nanka-Aguluzigbo-Umuona road measuring eight point nine zero six kilometers and awarded to IDC Construction Company with a completion period of twelve months from the date of the payment of the mobilization fee.
The release pointed out that to provide more alternate routes for travelers, the memo for the construction of the Mbaukwu-Awgbu-Amaetiti-Okpaeze road, measuring about sixteen point three seven kilometer with a twenty two-meter, one span bridge, has been awarded to Cossel Construction Limited at the sum of ten point nine zero five billion naira while the completion date is eighteen months from the date of mobilization.
Akaeze Multiservices Nigeria Limited won the contract for the construction of the four point five six kilometers Azigbo-Awka Etiti-Amichi-Onuselogu road with a spur to Diocesan Hospital Amichi, traversing three local government areas of Nnewi South, Idemili South, and Nnewi North at the sum of two point six billion naira, to be completed in eight months from the date of mobilization to the site.
