Anambra State Primary Health Care Development Agency in collaboration with the State Ministry of Health and Partners has held a one-day nonresidential stakeholders’ engagement and town hall meeting for routine immunization vaccine catch up exercise in Awka.


Addressing the gathering, the Permanent Secretary, Anambra State Ministry of Health, Dr. Obiageli Uchebo noted that the meeting was to educate the stakeholders about the upcoming campaign which is meant to cover children between the ages of zero and fifty-nine months, children who had missed previous vaccines or had never been vaccinated.


The Director of Disease Control and Immunization in Anambra State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Nnamdi Uliagbafusi who asked parents and wards to bring out their children for the exercise, disclosed that it will commence this Friday and will last for six days to be held at designated health centres, community centres as well as other outreach centres.
