The popular Nkwo Ogbakuba market in Ogbaru Council Area is bubbling with trading activities; as people from neighboring communities’ troop into the market to make purchases of food items ahead of the Christmas celebration.
Speaking to the ABS, traders at the market, including Mrs Nkem Nwangbo and Mrs Josephine Okechukwu, however lamented the impact of high cost of food items, calling on the government to come to their aid by bringing down the price of petrol in order to reduce the amount they spend in transporting their goods.
The President General of Ogbakuba Development Union, Chief Godwin Mbanefo, who described Nkwo Ogbakuba as a market known for selling organic foods and quality goods, called on the federal government to come to their aid and construct the shoreline in the area which was affected by flood.
