The Anambra State chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, has honoured Governor Chukwuma Soludo as Icon of Societal Transformation.

Receiving the award at an event in Awka which doubled as thanksgiving service for the fellowship, Governor Soludo described the honour as a call to do more, expressing confidence that Anambra will continue to rise.

While assuring that he will deliver on his mandate, the Governor revealed that his administration is declaring a state of emergency on insecurity in order to nip it in the bud.

The Governor called for collective action to build the state and nation, as well as tackle idolatry, which he described as a common enemy surprisingly on the rise in the south east region presently, stressing that the body of Christ is one.

Earlier, the State Chairman of PFN, Bishop Moses Ezedebego, emphasized that the honour was as a result of the people-oriented policies and programmes of the Governor, and assured of continued support of the church.
