The Archbishop, Ecclesiastical Province of the Niger and Anglican Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim, has urged Nigerians to remain committed to the Nigerian project despite daunting challenges the country is presently passing through.

In his Christmas message during the festival of nine lessons and carols organized by the Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Most Reverend Ibezim, represented by his Administrative Assistant, Venerable Chuma Oranye, reminded Christians that Christmas is a time for sober reflection and soul searching, warning against acts capable contradicting the true essence of the celebration.

Anambra State Head of Service, Barrister Theodora Igwegbe, represented by the Solicitor General of Anambra State, Barrister Ngozi Iweuno, read the first lesson during the event, Accountant General of Anambra State Dr Chukwudi Okoli, represented by the immediate Past Assistant Governor of Rotary International District 9142, Mr Abuchi Nwozor, took the fifth lesson, while the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Anambra State, Mrs Joyce Alexander, was on hand for the sixth lesson, among others.

The event was also used to reward some deserving individuals for their patronage to the ABS, as well as service to humanity through various categories of awards.
