Melodious songs and carols rented the air yesterday evening during the 2024 Anambra Christmas Carols of Lessons and Praises.
Themed “Emmanuel God With Us”, the event organised by the Anambra State Ministry of Culture, Entertainment and Tourism, took place at the Dr Alex Ekwueme Square Awka, and attracted many dignitaries, including government functionaries, the clergy, among whom were the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Dr. Paulinus Ezeokafor, national leadership of APGA, women groups, youth representatives, among others.
Speaking shortly after the event, the Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment and Tourism, Comrade Don Onyenji, appreciated all who attended the event; which he said was part of activities to usher in the Christmas celebration, thanking Governor Chukwuma Soludo for making the event possible.
