It was a joyful moment for the management, staff and students of Nwafor Orizu College of Education Nsugbe; as they celebrated 2024 thanksgiving service cum festival of nine lessons and carols; in appreciation to God for His kindness and blessings towards them.

In his sermon at the school premises where the event took place, the Chaplain of Saint Catherine’s Catholic Chaplaincy of the institution, Reverend Father Henry Eke, charged Christians to be patient in times of trials, and described thanksgiving as an exposure of the heart that acknowledges God’s faithfulness and grace.

Earlier in her address, the Provost of the College Provost, Dr Justina Anyadiegwu, said that the event offers opportunity for deep reflection and to thank God for sustaining and protecting the College community throughout the year, and commended Governor Soludo for extending his ‘Solution touch’ to the College.

The event featured announcement of the Environmental Unit as the 2024 best unit of the College, and presentation of Mr Williams Achumonye as the best staff of the year, among others.
