Members of Success Active Givers Movement have held their end-of-the- year gathering; with the presentation of meritorious awards to some individuals who have impacted humanity.
Correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim reports that the ceremony held at Igwebuike Primary School Abagana, where the Founder of the Movement, Mr. Ikechukwu Chukwudiebube, explained that the movement has over five thousand members selected from the seven local governments in Anambra Central; with the aim of offering help to the less privileged in the society, as well as render financial assistance to “good” politicians contesting elections.
In his remark, the Mayor of Njikoka Local Government Area, Barrister Chinedu Ononiba, who was among those honoured at the ceremony, commended the movement for giving the less privileged a sense of belonging by touching their lives through charity, adding that the local government council has adopted them as one of the active charity organizations in the area.
On his part, the Grand Patron of the Movement, Prince Arthur Eze, represented by the Traditional Ruler of Enugu-Agidi, Igwe Michael Okekeuche, commended members of the group for encouraging public service by rewarding hard work, integrity and merit, and called on others to emulate them.
Others honoured at the event were Chief Austin Oguejiofor and Chief Christian Nwafor.
