In its efforts to prioritise personnel welfare, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), under the leadership of Inspector-General of Police Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has unveiled the Force Insurance Company.
The initiative, launched at the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Peacekeeping Hall, Abuja, is set to provide comprehensive insurance packages, including health and life insurance, tailored for police officers and their families.
Dignitaries at the event included Senator Abdulhamid Mallam-Madori, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Police Affairs, and retired DIG Hashimu Argungu, Chairman of the Police Service Commission.
Speaking at the launch, Dr Egbetokun reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare and morale of law enforcement personnel.
In a separate ceremony at the same venue, Dr Egbetokun decorated newly promoted senior officers, including 10 Assistant Inspector-Generals of Police (AIGs) and 17 Commissioners of Police.
The IGP urged the officers to uphold the rule of law and use their new ranks to enhance national security.
This dual milestone reflects the NPF’s dedication to supporting its officers while safeguarding citizens.
