The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, has said that the increase in oil production in the country is an eloquent testimony to the successes being recorded in the fight against oil theft and pipeline vandalism in the Niger Delta region, as well as all forms of economic sabotage in the country.

He stated this while fielding questions from newsmen after a Christmas luncheon with frontline troops of the 6 Division, Nigerian Army in Port Harcourt, during which officers and troops of the Nigerian Army were commended for their sacrifices and commitment to tackling the numerous security challenges facing the nation.
