Christians have been charged to use the period of Christmas to show love to the needy and abstain from sin.

The Metropolitan Archbishop of Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province, Most Reverend Valerian Okeke gave the Charge during his annual visit to Onitsha correctional center.

Archbishop Okeke, called on Christians, to always accept with gratitude Jesus Christ who is their inspiration, and be the light to others.
In their separate speeches, the Chaplain of the correctional center, Reverend Father Bartholomew Okpalaugo, the former Governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi, the State Controller of Prisons, Mr Joseph Usifo and others, commended the archbishop for showing love to the inmates.

The exercise featured presentation of food items to the inmates by Archbishop Okeke.
