Miss Mmesoma Okonkwo of Ezeawulu village has won the 2024 Ada Nibo Pageant after defeating five other contestants.
The event was organized at Nibo Civic Center, in Awka South Local Government Area by Posh Productions in collaboration with Urban Tribe Magazine Limited.
In their various remarks, the Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musawa represented by an official of the ministry, Mr. Obiorah Nwaigwe, and the Head, Ndi Igbo Cultural and Social Enlightenment for Unity Foundation, Chief Chukwuemeka Ndukaku, commended the organizers of the event for coming up with such initiative.
The organizer of the event, Mr. Onyebuchi Ezeagabo explained that the Ada Nibo Pageant is a medium through which they showcase Igbo rich culture and tradition to the world, and empower the women.
The winner of the contest, Miss Okonkwo thanked the organizers for providing her with the platform to display her talents, and promised to use her new position to champion the course of the girl child.
