It was a moment of joy and reunion in Igbariam community, Anambra East Council Area, as they held their first mass return in twenty-eight years.

 

Speaking at Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church field, Igbariam, venue of the event, an indigene of the community and member representing Anambra East at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Honourable Obi Nweke, commended the President General of the community, Dr Chris Offokansi, and his team for their leadership foresight, and testified that development, progress and unity has set in in Igbariam.

In a goodwill message, the Mayor of Oyi Local Government Area, Mr Emmanuel Nweke, asked Ndi Igbariam to key into the Public-Private-Community-Partnership, PPCP, and developmental model of the Governor Chukwuma Soludo administration to help attract massive development to the community.

Earlier in his welcome address, the President General of the community, Dr Offokansi, said the day was remarkable as they celebrated their unity, peace and shared purpose, while the Chairman on the occasion, Professor Charles Nwadigwe, asked members of the community to embrace the reign of peace, progress and unity that is now in the community.

Elders of the community, including Ndi Ichie, Ndi Ojiana, the ruling council and many others praised Dr Offokansi and his team for the development trajectory in the community, and prayed the gods of their land to keep protecting and blessing them beyond measures.
