The Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese, Right Reverend Samuel Ezeofor, has called for the sanctity of the church to be upheld as the only place where power is received through prayer.
In a sermon at the Church of Restoration, Nanka, in Orumba North Local Government Area during its dedication, Right Reverend Ezeofor cautioned the congregation against defiling the church, and urged the people to refrain from bringing local politics into the church, emphasizing that the purpose of building the church is to bring God closer to the people.
Right Reverend Ezeofor also encouraged the people to always seek the presence of God, and thanked Sir Obiora and Lady Chioma Okeke for building the Church of Restoration, Nanka, calling on affluent individuals to channel their resources toward evangelism; as part of efforts to expand the kingdom of God on Earth.
The benefactor, Sir Obiora Okeke, said he was motivated to build the house of God to save the people from having to travel long distances to attend church services, and to help in winning souls for Christ.
