2025 is here and Christians ushered in the New Year with special mass and church services in which they brought their expectations to God.
In all the churches visited, worshipers were seen in joyous mood; praising God for his grace and mercy that brought them into the year.
At Saint Mary’s Church Ukpo, the Archdeacon, Ukpo Archdeaconry and Vicar of the church, Venerable Christopher Ogbodo, asked Christians to persevere in prayers, faith and hope in Christ Jesus who has come to redeem mankind.
At Saint Joseph’s Cathedral, Aguleri, the Chancellor of Aguleri Diocese, Reverend Father Innocent Acho-Egbunike, stated that everything in life is all about God and that seeing the year 2025 is a thing to glorify God.
Delivering his sermon on the theme; “2025: My year of total recovery and divine restoration”, the Archdeacon, Nawfia Archdeaconry and Vicar of Saint Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, Nawfia, Venerable Dr Onyinyechukwu Ilione, gave Christians hope that whatever was lost in 2024 will be recovered.
For the Vicar of Saint Paul’s Church Umuokpu Awka, Venerable Dr Ifeanyi Umeh, God will intervene in everything that concerns his children; just as Jesus Christ came with powers to defeat all storms of life.
