The member representing Aguata Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Engineer Dom Okafor, has been conferred with the chieftaincy title of “Eziafakego” Ekwulobia by the traditional ruler of the community, Igwe Emmanuel Onyeneke during his 2024 Ofala festival.
Conferring Engineer Okafor with the title, Igwe Onyeneke described the federal legislator as a great son of Aguata; who has distinguished himself in various fields of endeavour, urging him to keep up his good works.
Responding after receiving the honour, Engineer Okafor, who described Igwe Onyeneke as a senior professional colleague, thanked him and Ndi Ekwulobia for finding him worthy of such honour, promising to ensure that the road leading to the monarch’s house is constructed by ensuring that it is captured in the federal government’s 2025 budget of forty-nine point seven trillion naira.
Also speaking, Mrs Adeze Okafor, who is the wife of the lawmaker, expressed delight over the chieftaincy title given to her husband, praying God to give him the blessing and courage to continue serving God and humanity.
