Adazi-Nnukwu Celebrates Cultural Festival, Calls For Promotion Of, Identity

Adazi-Nnukwu Cultural Festival, has been held in grand style at the Adazi-Nnukwu town hall.

Speaking during the event, the President General of Adazi-Nnukwu Town Union, Chief Cyril Anetoh appreciated the United States of America based sponsor of the event over the years, Mr. Obum Madumesi for his efforts.

In her remark, the President of Adazi-Nnukwu women, Mrs. Chumaude Onugbolu emphasized that the survival of the event for ten years shows it has a positive impact.

An indigene and cultural proponent, Chief Ikechukwu Chukwumma explained that the event has helped lift the Igbo culture to enviable level while Reverend Father Livinus Obianusi stressed that culture and tradition are what gives the people a distinct identity.

Masquerade displays dance performances by women groups, age grades and individuals, among others featured at the event.
