Mr Ndu Nwaedozie has emerged the President General of Ogboji Town Union after polling one hundred and fifty-two votes against his opponent, Dr Chidi Osuji who scored one hundred and eleven votes in a keenly contested town union election.

 

Other members of the executive are Mr Ikenna Okafor, Secretary, Mr Timothy Egwuchukwu Okonkwo, Treasurer, Mr Samuel Okeke-Ilosie, Financial Secretary, Udoka Nwokoye, Public Relations Officer and Barrister Kingsley Iyioku, Legal Adviser.

 

The election was observed by a representative from Anambra state Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, comrade Henry Nwasike.

Administering oath of office on the newly elected officers, the Chairman Electoral Committee constituted by the Ogboji community, Dr Chidi Nwafor, expressed satisfaction that the election conducted through secret ballot system went on seamlessly, thanking Ndi Ogboji for conducting themselves peacefully.

 

In their various speeches, some stakeholders in the community, Mr Chris Ezike,retired Assistant Inspector General of Police ,and Prince Neville Uchendu expressed happiness that for once in their community, election has been conducted peacefully in a well-accepted process.

On behalf of the new exco, the President, Mr Nwaedozie, pledged the commitment of his members to advance the cause of their community towards greatness.
