The people of Ebenator in Nnewi South Council Area has  celebrated the first ofala of the community held at the palace of the Traditional ruler, Igwe Edwin Ezejiburu, after forty-seven years of his kingship.

 

Speaking at the event that witnessed large turn out of Ndi Ebenator; as they converged to make merry and celebrate peace and progress of the community, the Executive chairman, Nnewi South Council Area, Honourable Chinedu Ezeogidi, who was given an award at the event by the traditional ruler of the community, said he was happy that every community is bubbling with activities because of the tight security provided by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

In their speeches, the President General of the community, Mr Chigozie Aladi, and the Chairman, Planning Committee of the event, Mr Ugochukwu Akpa, thanked God for the success of the event, which they say was long overdue.

Igwe Ezechiburu was represented at the event by the Traditional Prime Minister of the town, Professor Sam Uzochukwu.
