Former Secretary General of the Commonwealth of Nations, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, has commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for undertaking the construction of the new Government House and Governor’s Lodge in Awka, among other infrastructural projects.

Chief Anyaoku, who gave the commendation shortly after he was conducted round the project and Solution Fun City in Awka, described it as an impressive development, adding that bringing the three arms of government in Anambra together required a visionary planner like Governor Soludo.

Responding, Governor Soludo revealed that in the next few weeks, the thirty-three year-old jinx of not having a befitting Government House and Governor’s Lodge will be broken, adding that his administration is focused on building to last.

He described Chief Anyaoku as Africa’s most distinguished statesman, and thanked him for stopping by and spending time to tour the projects with him.
